Cost-Saving Machine-Ready Blanks
As Seen In Moldmaking Technology.
TCI Precision Metals (Gardena, CA) will demonstrate how purchasing machine-ready blanks allows dramatic reductions in the cost of labor, leading to lower overall part costs and greater operational efficiency at IMTS.
TCI Precision Metals (Gardena, CA) will demonstrate how purchasing machine-ready blanks allows dramatic reductions in the cost of labor, leading to lower overall part costs and greater operational efficiency at IMTS. Machine-ready blanks allow production to start immediately (e.g.,. load blanks directly into the machine without prep operations, including sawing, grinding, flattening or squaring). Additionally, the operator reduces time spent adjusting setups and fixture offsets. By ending prep time and minimizing setup time, operators and machines are more productive and increase throughput capacity. TCI Precision Metals machine-ready blanks arrive with tolerances guaranteed as close as ± .0005” dimensionally and ± .0002” flatness, squareness, and parallelism. The blanks are processed using double-disc grinding, blanchard grinding, duplex milling, and sub operations, such as flattening, deburring, and surface improvement. TCI Precision Metals machine-ready blanks and finish-machined parts are available in virtually and material available, including: aluminum, tool steel, stainless, controlled expansion alloys, brass, copper, ceramics, spring steel, titanium, ductile iron, plastics, carbon steels and tubes and high temperature and nickel alloys.
